The Project

 

Milford is a specialist investment firm who invest in New Zealand, its businesses and its people.  Milford had secured new premises in the prestigious Vero Centre to occupy an entire floor of 1,200m2.  They have total of 65 staff, however the new office was to accommodate up to 100 staff.

The project brief was to provide a suitable design and functional space for the new premises to accommodate Milford’s growth.  This included:

 

  • Increased staff and client servicing capacity, a refreshed environment for staff and a refreshed layout to improve flow of business functions and operations.
  • An enjoyable and functional working environment, which made best use of the space available.
  • Meeting rooms with a high level of confidentiality and acoustic treatment.
  • An informal communal area and kitchen for the staff.
  • An unmanned client reception area
  • Enable future growth
  • A good medium to high quality environment that reflects Milford’s brand and professionalism

Solutions and Outcomes

Although we had secured a Design team, the lease had already been signed and with a set termination date on their existing premises, the pressure was on to deliver.  Our team prepared the project plan and deliverable which clearly identified who needed to do what and by when. With agreed sign-off milestones we kept the programme on track and competitively tendered for best value.

Perficio put together all the tender and contract documentation and acted as the Engineer to the Contract.  We manage the construction works successfully by regular site meetings and inspections.  By ensuring Milford’s objectives were adhered to and by doing so led to a successful project all round.
